Does my ATV or UTV use TPMS?
Most ATVs and recreational UTVs do not come equipped with TPMS. Some street-legal UTVs and premium models may include TPMS -- check your owner's manual to confirm.
Unlike cars and trucks, most ATVs and recreational UTVs do not come equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The majority of powersports machines rely on the rider to manually check tire pressure before each ride.
Some premium or street-legal UTV models -- particularly those designed for road use or those with more extensive factory technology packages -- may include TPMS. Check your machine's owner's manual or instrument cluster to determine if your specific model has TPMS installed.
Regardless of whether your machine has TPMS, checking tire pressure manually before each ride is a best practice for ATV and UTV owners. Running incorrect pressure can cause handling issues, premature tire wear, and in the case of beadlock-free setups, tire debeading in extreme conditions.
