How do I tell if TPMS were installed?

If your valve stems are black rubber with gold valves, your tires have TPMS sensors installed.

You can easily check by looking at the valve stems. If your tire has a black rubber valve stem with a gold valve under the cap, it means TPMS sensors are installed.

If your wheels have chrome sleeve valve stems, that indicates there are no TPMS sensors installed. Checking the valve stem is the simplest way to confirm whether your tires include TPMS.
