Why is my ATV or UTV pulling after installing new wheels and tires?
Pulling after a wheel and tire install on an ATV or UTV is usually caused by uneven tire pressure, improper torque, or mismatched tire sizes between sides.
If your ATV or UTV is pulling to one side after installing new wheels and tires, here are the most common causes:
- Uneven tire pressure: Check that all four tires are inflated to the same recommended PSI. Even a small difference between sides can cause pulling on ATVs and UTVs.
- Mismatched tires: If you mixed different tire models or sizes side-to-side, the different rolling diameters can cause pulling, especially on AWD or 4WD machines.
- Improper torque or loose hardware: Verify all lug nuts are torqued evenly to spec using a star pattern.
- Alignment: UTVs with independent suspension can develop alignment issues after significant suspension or tire changes. A professional alignment check may be needed.
